In February 2023, Innovit Electric was awarded the contract to supply current limiters to the LS25-1 gas field development project of CNOOC, which will be applied to solve the problem of short-circuit current levels exceeding the system ratings during the power system networking of new platforms and old platforms, to avoid upgrading the medium voltage system of the old platform, affecting production, and ensuring the safety of the power system.
The LS25-1 gas field development project is another 1,000-meter deep-water project after the LS17-2 gas field. It is a large investment and difficult project. The important project of the branch to increase production to 10 million in 2025 is a key project of CNOOC.
With the continuous increase of industrial and electrical loads, power plants and large industrial enterprises often need to install larger power sources or additional generators during production and operation, which leads to short-circuit current levels exceeding the permissible ratings of the system, threatens the safety of the power system.
