June 2022, Innovit Electric was awarded the contract to deliver fault current limiters for China National Offshore Oil Corporation’s (CNOOC’s) onshore power supply project, located in the middle and south of Bohai Oilfields.
The fault current limiters will be used to protect the existing systems and the new systems of the electrical power platforms (EPP) of Bozhong 34-1and Bozhong 35-2 oil & gas field in Bohai Bay with onshore power supply. The main goal of the project is to reduce the CO2 emissions associated with traditional offshore power generation by burning oil and gas.
Innovit Electric will design and deliver 3 sets of 40.5kV and 2 sets of 7.2kV fault current limiters after securing the CNOOC contract.
This contract award represents one of the largest Innovit Electric’s contract to date and demonstrates the high trust blue-chip companies have in Innovit Electric’s UFCL-limiter as an integral part of their system protection equipment.
