INNOVIT provided UFCL products to HBIS for protection on TRT power generation.

TRT is the energy-saving equipment used for a blast furnace of steel plants, which has following two functions. One is to control the top pressure of a blast furnace, and the other is to generate electric power by driving a turbine using blast furnace gas generated in a blast furnace. Coal gas from forming saturated steam generating items is performed for projects with surplus power lines advanced blast furnace gas from forming and using saturated steam heat by utilizing the original loss resource ” take back ” into electrical energy into the production system, improve the secondary energy efficient by using profits.

This time the capacity of the TRT generator is 40MW, which need to be interconnected with public supply networks. The additional short-circuit current from generators leads to the permissible short-circuit current in the utility network being exceeded. Then the UFCL which sometimes is refer as an Is-limiter become the most appropriate technical solution –the installation of an UFCL in the interconnection with the public utility network.

UFCL is capable of detecting and limiting a short-circuit current at the first rise, i.e. in less than 1ms. The maximum instantaneous current occurring remains well below the level of the peak short-circuit current. thus not only help HBIS save cost, but also increase operating efficiency.
